Some programs may have higher English language or academic requirements.

University of Edinburgh Visa

The IHS is another payment that the student has to include in their visa application and this gives them access to the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK. The cost of the IHS is £1,035 per year and also varies depending on the length of the course. A student visa fee of £490 has to be paid to the UKVI before booking a biometric appointment at VFS. Once the visa fee is paid then the student can appear at the VFS for biometrics on the appointment date for fingerprints and photographs.

The UK student visa will typically take two to three weeks; therefore, students are advised to submit their application earlier than three months before their course start date to prevent any possible delays.

Once granted, students are then issued a 90-day entry vignette (visa sticker) on their passport and students must show an E-visa credential.
